1. About this site
UtilityTools.eu (the "Service") is a free collection of browser-based utility tools, built and operated by a single independent EU developer — a hardworking dad of two — in his spare time. You can reach the operator at [email protected].
The Service and everything published on it (text, code, designs, articles, generated output) is offered "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, or non-infringement.
2. Accuracy of output
We make reasonable efforts to ensure the tools work correctly — that JSON is parsed to spec, hashes match published RFCs, encryption follows AES standards, conversions are mathematically sound, and so on. However, we make no guarantee that any output is error-free, complete, current, or suitable for any particular purpose.
You are solely responsible for verifying any result before relying on it in production code, legal documents, financial decisions, medical decisions, contractual obligations, security-critical workflows, or any other consequential context.
3. Use at your own risk
You use the Service entirely at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of UtilityTools.eu and any contributor are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages arising out of, or in connection with, your access to or use of the Service. This includes, without limitation:
- loss of data, files, or encryption keys;
- lost profits, revenue, business opportunities or savings;
- misdelivered or unreceived messages, documents or files;
- security incidents, including those resulting from misuse of generated passwords, certificates or encryption tools;
- reliance on tool output that turned out to be inaccurate, outdated or incomplete;
- downtime, interruption of the Service, or loss of access.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages — in that case, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by your local law. Nothing in this disclaimer limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
4. Not professional advice
Nothing on the Service — including any calculator, generator, template, blog article or example — constitutes legal, financial, tax, medical, security, or other professional advice. The CV templates, budget calculators, BMI/calorie tools, certificate generators and similar utilities are educational and decorative aids only. For decisions that matter, consult a qualified professional in the relevant field.
5. Encryption tools
Encryption utilities on this site (such as the AES-256 file encryption tool) generate keys locally in your browser. We never see, store or transmit your files or keys. If you lose your key, your encrypted file is permanently unrecoverable — there is no backdoor and no recovery service. The tool is intended for personal protection of everyday data; it is not a substitute for vetted desktop tools (VeraCrypt, age, GnuPG) where regulatory compliance, plausible deniability, or formal chain of custody is required.
6. Generator tools
Output produced by generator tools (passwords, UUIDs, lorem ipsum, hieroglyphics, runes, fake certificates, QR codes, scrolls, CVs, budgets, memes, etc.) is created entirely on your device. You own anything you create and are solely responsible for how it is used. Some generators (fake certificates, hieroglyphic name generators, runes, ancient scrolls, fantasy fonts) produce decorative output that is not a real translation, has no legal validity, and is not intended to deceive any official party.
7. Third-party content and advertising
Some tools load open-source JavaScript libraries from public content delivery networks (for example JSZip, pdf-lib, mammoth.js). Those libraries are governed by their own licenses and are provided by their respective authors. We do not warrant or endorse their functionality.
The Service is funded by advertising delivered through Google AdSense. Ad content is selected and shown by Google and its partners — we do not write, choose or pre-approve individual ads. We are not responsible for the accuracy, legality or content of any third-party advertisement displayed on the site, nor for any product or service you purchase as a result of clicking an ad. Outbound links to other websites — including the partner sites we list (SecureEU.eu, Davaleba.com, AssignMe.io, Ordreportalen.dk, etc.) — are provided as helpful pointers only. We do not control those sites, and we accept no responsibility for their content, privacy practices, availability or accuracy.
9. No service-level agreement
The Service is offered for free with no uptime guarantee. We may add, modify, suspend or discontinue any tool at any time without notice. We are not liable for any inconvenience caused by such changes.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including (but not limited to) generating fraudulent documents intended to deceive a real institution, encrypting material to evade lawful disclosure obligations, or abusing the site to harm third parties. You are responsible for complying with the laws of your country.
11. Governing law
This disclaimer is governed by the laws of Denmark and applicable European Union law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be settled by the competent Danish courts, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
12. Changes
We may update this disclaimer from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the Service after a change indicates acceptance of the updated version.
